Artist Statement
“For me, painting is about making marks and creating shapes: A lyrical line of ink; a broken scribble of charcoal; a thick brush stroke; a series of scratches carved into wet layers of paint…until the image begins to emerge.
Lights and darks pull me in; diversity and change inspire me. They act not only as the connective tissue of my body of work, but the defining characteristic of each piece on its own.”
A long time participant in a variety of rotating art shows around the Portland Metropolitan area. Member of ArtHouse 23 a.k.a. The Big Green House art community since 2009.
